PPDS, the global provider of Philips Professional Displays, has installed 110 Philips MediaSuite TVs across two new 6-star luxury superyacht hotels in Vietnam’s Halong Bay. The vessels, “Grand Pioneers I” and “Grand Pioneers II,” are operated by the Viet Thuan Group.
The installation was designed to set a new benchmark for onboard luxury, differentiating the yachts from the high competition in the popular tourist destination. The key feature of the MediaSuite TVs is the built-in Google Cast and Netflix-ready capabilities, which allow guests to stream content from their personal devices (smartphones, tablets) directly to their cabin’s TV. This provides a “home from home” entertainment experience, moving beyond traditional, limited onboard programming.
In addition to guest-facing benefits, the TVs are managed using PPDS’s CMND platform. This system allows the crew to remotely manage the displays, customize the user interface with branding, and send messages to guests. For security, the system automatically deletes all guest login details upon checkout.
